Obituary

Clarence "CP" Bangert, 98, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. He was born in Guide Rock, Nebraska.

CP is survived by his daughter Karen Carman (John) of Aiken, South Carolina, son Randy (Terri) of Lincoln, Nebraska, son Tim (Brenda) of Shawnee, Kansas, and son Brian (Randa) of Wichita, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and their extended families.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Loretta Bangert, his three sisters Agnes Seaman, Hilda Alber and Donelda Hartman.

CP graduated from UNL after serving in WW II as an Army Air Corps B-25 pilot. He worked for Cushman Motors Corporation and later earned his Masters Degree from UNL. During much of that time Cushman was owned by Outboard Marine Corporation. After 42 years of service, He retired in 1989 as Division Manager and Vice President of Outboard Marine Corporation. He enjoyed flying, woodworking, telling and writing stories of his life experiences, making home videos of family gatherings and entertaining all who would join he and Loretta in their back yard pool.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 PM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 R Street.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, Nebraska 68516, which will also be livestreamed at sheridanlutheran.org.
