LeRoy H. Meints, 77, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from complications arising from open heart surgery. He was born September 7, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Peter and Christina (Schmidt) Meints. \nHe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon (Beeman) Meints; daughter Kathy (Meints) & husband Mike Wert, grandchildren; Trevor Wert, Jessica (Wert) & James Flood, great-grandchildren Colton & Carter Flood. \n Preceded in death by his son, Donald Lynn Meints.\nRetired in 2008 from The Lincoln City Water Dept. as Assistant Superintendent after 45 years of service. LeRoy was a do-everything himself- kind of man. He enjoyed helping his family with many different projects. Early life he enjoyed baseball, bowling, & boating. He built two homes, loved to ride his Harley Davidson, restore classic cars & going to car shows. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group, Nifty Fifties Ford Club, 54 Ford Club & Crown Victoria Assoc. \nLeRoy also helped maintain the Yankee Hill Cemetery for 49 years.\nTRIBUTE TO LEROY - TUESDAY AUGUST 24, 2021 - 6:00 - 8:00 PM \nfamily & friends are invited to drive by LeRoy's home to honk & wave for LeRoy's farewell.\nMemorials, in lieu of flowers, in care of the family for future designation.
