Obituary for Edward Matulka

Edward L. Matulka, 59, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, NE.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM, Monday, March 11, 2019, at Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, NE. Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM, Monday, March 11, 2019, at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Agnew, NE. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home in Valparaiso, NE.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.

Ed married Lori Polivka on September 25, 1981. He proudly worked for the Arter Group in Lincoln, NE, for 35 years. Ed was a Member of Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, and with the Knights of Columbus in Valparaiso, NE.

Edward is survived by his wife Lori Matulka of Raymond, NE; daughters, Amber (Ryan) Rutt of Lincoln, NE and Holly (Nicholas) Cole of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Haylee Rutt, Lincoln Cole, and Landon Cole; four sisters, MaryJo (Tim) Bergkamp, Sister Mary Regina, Denise (Kevin) Landwehr, and Janelle (Tracy) Carnahan; four brothers, Tim (Teresa) Matulka, Mark (Rose) Matulka, Mike (Jackie) Matulka, and Brian (Erika) Matulka; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Wilma Matulka, and in-laws, John and Evelyn Polivka.
